The Consortium of Goblin Markets

Goblins are caught in a strange position within both realms, untrusted by humanity due to their curiosity for innovation — and proximity to the creatures of the Fey — and slandered by the Fey for an unwavering fondness for humanity.

This has left the Consortium of Goblin Markets in a place from which they are, in this war, unabashedly able to serve both sides, and still keep the pacts and promises made to both.

The Autumn Court reportedly counts through every grudge, pact, boon, and deal the Goblin Market has made in an attempt to determine an alliance, but currently Goblin Markets are able to fully show their support for humanity without breaking the old Oaths made to the Fey Courts.

Goblins have long been delighted by the marvels made by humanity, from the splendour of fireworks, to the beating heart of the engine, and the tang of processed sugar.

The Goblin Markets are ruled by a name taken from a hat, a revered Fey Artefact, at each election.

All names of Goblin-kind with a licence to trade are entered, so it benefits the Goblins to ensure their community is well educated and understands the full weight of their politics.

This has also made it hard to game their political system, as any candidates that may be easier for external forces to control or negotiate with are just as likely to be selected as anyone else.

There is still plenty of variance to their community's pacts and contracts over the years, though as the Markets have proved, every contract is made by the Market and honoured by the Market.
