Rituals
Rituals may be performed between 6pm and 11pm. Outside of this time, it is dangerous and unstable to cast a ritual, due to the ebb and flow of ley line energy used to power rituals. Exceptions require authorisation from an Avalon official.

Rituals should:
-
Last 5-10 minutes
-
Be led by a ritualist
-
Have relevance
-
Include a maximum of 6 people for ad-hoc rituals (solo rituals are welcome, too!)
Ritualists may join as many rituals per event as they like, but may only lead one per event. Those involved in rituals do NOT need to be ritualists, but only a ritualist can lead a ritual.

How to build a successful ritual:
The ley-lines have been known to interact positively with rituals that are performed with energy and enthusiasm. Intent should be clearly stated up front, and the ritual, including its performers, should stay relevant to this target at all times.

If a ritual goes over its time slot, strays from its intent, or includes too many participants, it risks becoming unstable and yielding unwanted results.

There are many other aspects that may affect the outcome of your ritual - try getting creative to see what works.

Note: Bigger, longer rituals, outside normal ritual periods, may be authorised with the correct warding and balance of power in place. These rituals may require up to 3 ritualists and will need approval from an Avalon official. In such situations, one ritualist will lead using their ritual slot for the event.
What can rituals be used for?
-
Divining information
-
Setting up/breaking wards
-
Empowering/downpowering items
-
Granting a one-time use skill
-
Revealing lost things
-
Communicating with souls not present
It's possible rituals may be used for other purposes. This may be found out in-game.

Note: If the ritual targets a specific person, the ritualist must know and use that person’s name at a relevant point during the ritual.
